Join us for our annual Christmas Party in the Luther Lee Building on Tuesday December 9th, beginning at 6:30. The club will provide soft drinks and meat, we're asking everyone to bring a side dish. We'll have nice door prizes again this year, and some gag awards to recognize some of the shinning moments from the last year. Visitors are welcome, as always.

Claudes Landing to Bob Cat Landing

This is a beautiful trip in the Lowcountry and old coastal plantation part of South Carolina. The general location is South and then East of Walterboro. The trip is about 8-9 miles; starting on Cuckolds Creek and riding with the tide, out to the Combahee River. This is a good trip for most boats though canoes might have a challenge if it is windy — and it is usually windy this near the coast.

Note that this trip has been canceled due to an issue with river access in the park.

Halloween Paddle Change: 6:30pm meet at north west end of Columbia Canal not Congaree River. Due to no moon this Friday and temperatures in low 40s, we have decided to do paddle on Columbia Canal. This is a 1 1/2 to 2 hour paddle flatwater with no rocks. Canal has lights all along walking trail. Meet at dirt parking lot near diversion dam. Follow Broad River Road from Greystone Blvd toward river, cross bridge over Broad River and Columbia Canal and take first left, follow gravel road to end at dirt parking lot (about 1 mile). Paddle starts and ends here. Back to landing at 8:30pm for party. Please email Dennis Catoe if you plan to bring food or want to help with party. Wear Halloween costumes, best costume will be picked.
